At Mountain Lynx Transit we are always growing and improving!
We encourage everyone entering a District Three office or Mountain Lynx Transit vehicle to comply with Executive Order 63 requiring all persons 5 and older to wear a face mask unless you fall into an exemption category. Upon entry, a mask can be provide to you if you do not have one.

Mountain Lynx Transit provides bus transit services in Abingdon, Galax, Marion, and Wytheville and the counties of Bland, Carroll, Grayson, Smyth, Washington, and Wythe. We link people with life while providing the benefits of public transportation - reducing air pollution and easing traffic congestion - making Southwestern Virginia a better place to live. Anyone can ride! All fares are 50¢ each way and transfers are free!
Rules To Ride
The use of safety belts is required.
Mobility devices must be secured.
Respect other riders by maintaining good personal hygiene practices and refrain from using heavy perfumes.
Service animals are welcome as are pets in carriers.
Exact change or a pass must be presented at time of boarding.
Passengers must provide approved child safety seats for children three (3) and younger.
Hazardous materials are prohibited, e.g. car batteries, flammables.
Respect others by using headphones and setting volume for your ears only.
Aisles and emergency exits must be kept clear of personal belongings.
Disorderly and disruptive behaviors, both verbal and physical, will not be tolerated.
No smoking, eating, or drinking.
