DISTRICT THREE GOVERNMENTAL COOPERATIVE will be accepting applications for a Part-Time Home Delivered Meals Delivery Driver

JOB SUMMARY: Driver will deliver meals to homebound clients and keep an accurate record of meals delivered and other services performed. Driver will also be responsible for reporting to central office if a client cannot accept delivery of meals due to illness or other reasons as well as keeping Home-Delivered Meals equipment clean and in good working order. JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and have "zero points or + points" driving record. Must have the capacity to complete required reporting forms and must be able to lift at least 30 pounds independently. Experience working with the aging population preferred. Background check and substance abuse testing required.

DISTRICT THREE GOVERNMENTAL COOPERATIVE will be accepting applications for Part-Time Transit Drivers for 3 areas. (Abingdon, Marion, Wytheville)

JOB SUMMARY: Transit Drivers primary duties include transporting public passengers in a safe and courteous manner while also helping riders who need assistance. Work hours vary week to week based on need, but will not exceed 27 hours. Starting Pay Per Hour: $15.00 (non-CDL or CDL with no P Endorsement)/ $16.47 (CDL Class A, B or C with P Endorsement)

QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants must possess a high school diploma or equivalent. He/she must hold a valid Virginia Driver’s License and have "zero points or + points" driving record. Experience in customer service preferred. Working knowledge of computers preferred. Ability to pass substance abuse testing and background check required. As an additional requirement for the job, employees must also be able to pass a DOT Physical and other Fitness for Duty tests.

DISTRICT THREE GOVERNMENTAL COOPERATIVE will be accepting applications for Part-Time Homemakers.

JOB SUMMARY: Under the immediate supervision of the Homemaker Manager, the homemaker is responsible for housekeeping and homemaking duties for the client to promote a safe and clean-living environment. Duties to include, but not limited to: Light housekeeping, vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, cleaning refrigerator, changing linens on bed, laundry, washing dishes and cleaning bathroom.

DISTRICT THREE GOVERNMENTAL COOPERATIVE is accepting applications for Senior Community Services Employment Program (SCSEP).

This is a paid employment training program to assist older workers with obtaining new job skills, refresh old skills and gain work experience in hopes of obtaining unsubsidized employment in the near future.  These part-time positions are 20 hours per week and pay is limited to the federal minimum wage ($12.00) per hour.
