Homemaker Services are provided to senior citizens 60 years of age and older needing help with routine housekeeping and home management tasks that recipients are unable to perform for themselves.
This service is provided by a trained and supervised homemaker. A service plan will be developed based on the assessment completed by the supervisor at the time of admission to the program. The plan may include duties such as light housekeeping, meal preparation, laundry, changing linens, and so forth. The homemaker may also do shopping and pick up prescriptions at the drug store if necessary.
For persons having an income at poverty level there is no charge. Persons having income over the poverty level pay on a sliding fee scale after deductions are given for medical expenses.
