DISTRICT THREE GOVERNMENTAL COOPERATIVE will be accepting resumes/applications for a full-time Long Term Care Ombudsman.

JOB SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Community Services Division Director, the Ombudsman shall investigate complaints about care provided by long term care facilities and coordinate activities to promote wellness and prevent elder abuse.   The starting pay for this position is $16.92-$18.31 per hour with a work week of 37.5 hours (Full-time with competitive benefits package).

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:   All applicants must possess a Bachelor’s Degree or nursing degree plus experience working with the elderly.  Knowledge, skills, training and experience in issues relating to long term care settings, abuse, mediation, and investigation preferred.    Must be able to focus on and deal with complex issues simultaneously. Substance abuse testing required and background check required.

JOB SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Director of Administration, the Personnel Manager shall coordinate the hiring and orientation of new employees, supervise the reception area and staff, and maintain general personnel files.  Administer the Senior Employment Training Program.  The starting pay for this position is $16.92-$18.31 per hour with a work week of 37.5 hours (Full-time with competitive benefits package).

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: All applicants must possess a High School Diploma.  Bachelor’s degree in Human resources or Human Services preferred.  He/she shall have knowledge, skills, training and experience in employment laws, regulations, and guidelines.   All applicants must be able to provide leadership to other employees, focus on and deal with complex issues simultaneously. DISTRICT THREE GOVERNMENTAL COOPERATIVE will be accepting resumes/applications for a part-time Homemaker in the Twin County Area.

JOB SUMMARY: Under the immediate supervision of the Homemaker Manager, the Homemaker is responsible for housekeeping and homemaking duties for the client to promote a safe and clean living environment. Starting rate of pay for this position is $10.20 per hour. The typical work-week is approximately 24 hours.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: All applicants must possess a high school diploma or equivalent. He/she must hold a current driver’s license and have "zero points or + points" driving record. Applicant must have access to reliable transportation. Experience working with the aging population is preferred. Background check and substance abuse testing required.

DISTRICT THREE GOVERNMENTAL COOPERATIVE is also accepting applications for Senior Community Services Employment Program (SCSEP).  This is a paid employment training program to assist older workers with obtaining new job skills, refresh old skills and gain work experience in hopes of obtaining unsubsidized employment in the near future.  These part-time positions are 20 hours per week and pay is limited to the federal minimum wage ($7.25) per hour.
