AGING WELLNESS SPECIALIST

JOB SUMMARY: Under the immediate supervision of the Nutrition Programs Director the Aging Wellness Specialist is responsible for facilitating Chronic Pain Management Self- Management workshops and Diabetes Self-Management Program and Chronic Disease Self-Management Program workshops. Facilitate Matter of Balance workshops while completing scheduling and reporting of workshops in the District Three service area.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and have "zero points or + points" driving record. Experience working with the aging population preferred. Background check and substance abuse testing required.

NUTRITION SITE MANAGER

JOB SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Nutrition Programs Director, The Nutrition Site Manager primarily assists with the delivery of meals and recreational service to the senior population at the Friendship Cafés. Duties at the sites include meal service and conducting recreational and required program activities.  This position will be primarily for the Carroll County area.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:  The Nutrition Site Manager must have a good driving record. Must have the capacity to complete required reporting forms. Must be able to lift at least thirty pounds.  Have strong communication skills and some supervisory skills are preferred.  Experience in planning/coordinating activities for senior adults is a plus. Must be able to attend required meetings and trainings at the main office.

TRANSIT OPERATIONS SPECIALIST

JOB SUMMARY: Under the immediate supervision of the Transit Area Supervisor, the Transit Operations Specialist will act in a courteous manner at all times and possess a working knowledge of the District Three Transportation manuals. They are responsible for dispatching and/or performing other duties as assigned by their supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants must possess a high school diploma or equivalent. He/she must hold a valid Virginia Driver’s License and have "zero points or + points" driving record.  Must be able to pass Vision and Reaction testing upon hire and annually. Computer experience preferred. Must pass a background check and substance abuse testing.
