DISTRICT THREE GOVERNMENTAL COOPERATIVE is accepting applications for a Transportation System Area Supervisor for the Galax/Wytheville areas. The position is based out of our Marion office.

Starting Pay Per Hour: $18.21

Hours per week: 37.5

JOB SUMMARY: Working directly for the Transit Operations Director, the Area Supervisor is responsible for executing the day-to-day operations of the individual Transportation offices. Also, maintain records of the number of riders, schedules special routes and acts as liaison with the local government to answer questions or provide services. The Area Supervisor will be responsible for supervision of assigned drivers and the Operations Specialists.  The position is based out of our Marion office. QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants must possess a high school diploma or equivalent. He/she must hold a valid Virginia Driver’s License and have "zero points or + points" driving record.  Supervisory experience preferred. Working knowledge of computers preferred. Ability to pass substance abuse testing and background check required. As an additional requirement for the job, employee must also be able to pass a DOT Physical and other fitness for duty tests. Employee must obtain a Commercial Driver’s License Class C with a P Endorsement within the first three months of employment.

DISTRICT THREE GOVERNMENTAL COOPERATIVE is accepting applications for Part-Time Transit Drivers. 

JOB SUMMARY: Transit Drivers primary duties include transporting public passengers in a safe and courteous manner while also helping riders who need assistance. Work hours vary week to week based on need, but will not exceed 27 hours. Starting Pay Per Hour: $15.00 (non-CDL or CDL with no P Endorsement)/ $16.47 (CDL Class A, B or C with P Endorsement)

DISTRICT THREE GOVERNMENTAL COOPERATIVE is accepting applications for Senior Community Services Employment Program (SCSEP).

This is a paid employment training program to assist older workers with obtaining new job skills, refresh old skills and gain work experience in hopes of obtaining unsubsidized employment in the near future.  These part-time positions are 20 hours per week and pay is limited to the federal minimum wage ($12.00) per hour.
