Mountain Lynx Transit Driver positions are available. Candidates will have a good driving record, ability to pass a drug test, job-related physical, and criminal background check. This position also requires that you are able to obtain a Department of Transportation medical certificate and a Virginia Commercial Driver’s License – Class C or higher with Passenger endorsement. Training will be provide to assist in obtaining a CDL for successful applicants. Rate of pay is $10.10 per hour up to 28 hours per wk. Opportunities exist after 90 days of employment to apply for Operations Specialist (Dispatcher) positions in Marion with a rate of pay of $11.10 per hour up to 28 hours per wk.  All resumes and applications may be mailed to Brittany Story, Personnel Office Manager, or emailed no later than 5:00 pm on Monday, February 05, 2018.

 

Operations Specialist (Dispatcher) position is available.  Some previous dispatch experience or computer skills are preferred, but not required.  Candidates must be able to pass a series of fitness for duty tests and be able to obtain a Department of Transportation medical certificate upon hiring and annually thereafter.  Candidates have 90 days to acquire a VA CDL- Class C or higher with Passenger endorsement.  Training will be provided to assist in obtaining a CDL for successful applicants.  Rate of pay is $10.10 per hour up to 28 hours per week.  After 90 days and all requirements for the position are met, the rate of pay will be $11.10 per hour.  Candidates will have a good driving record as well as the ability to pass a drug test and criminal background check.  All resumes and applications may be mailed to Brittany Story, Personnel Office Manager, or emailed no later than 5:00 pm on Monday, February 05, 2018.

 

Senior Community Service Employment Program training positions are available for applicants age 55 or older with limited income. This program is for paid training to update skills and develop new skills to enter unsubsidized employment. Pay for these positions is limited to the federal minimum wage.
